3.8 updated headgaskets

OK, so we're keeping our options open for cars for my wife.
I'm thinking an SN95 V6 auto mustang might not be a bad idea, but obviously want to avoid the crappy headgaskets used on the earlier models. Does anyone know when they updated the headgaskets or whatever they did to stop the problems? I'm thinking 1998 but I want to be sure.

I searched on Corral and it looks like 96-up had the newer design. You can get pretty good deals on them with decent mileage (60-70k). The problem is Suzie told me to make the decision without her (since we don't have any days off together to go looking) so that puts me under a ton of pressure
Mine blew at 118k miles on my 94. Im pretty sure it was only a 94-95 problem, so all the 96+ cars chould be fine. If I wouldve known you were wanting a V6 i could have made you a deal on mine.
