Default What could this be ...

When I start my car (cold or hot) the car vibrates and whines initially then the majority of the whine goes away after a short while, so does the vibrating right after the car is started. It has about a 6 month old starter on it currently. I am going to be under the car in a little bit seeing if there is a possibility that the starter may have vibrated loose.

Could this be clutch related? Because my throwout bearing is making some pecular noises as of late especially when it's cold. Could my t/o bearing dieing on me have anything to do with my weird starting symtoms?

Please help!

... nevermind. 6lbs of road grime on my arms and a couple busted knuckles later made me realize that the starter bolts were about to fall out. Tightened them down and it worked like a charm, yay!

Thanks fellas, right on time

I'm happy that this was the problem and nothing serious. My car for 2 years hasn't given me ANY problems except for the factory clutch quadrant that just couldn't handle my abuse

I think the car was started too much when it was new.

Do you own a Torch Red FRC and tremble every time you drive under I75 on Hwy 60 and look in your rearview mirror? If so you are suffering from what is known as Cobraphobia.
