ways to reduce hp?
Are they going to be checking the actual HP of the car. If so you should probably do something that will reduce high rpm power and fatten up midrage TQ. Cam is a good one as said above. With the right cam you could reduce peak HP #s but really fatten up midrange Tq. TB spacer/restrictor is another if you can find the right combo. If all else fails maybe reduce your rpm/rev limiter to exact HP # and shift early. That way you will not reduce TQ or area under the peak at all.

run a throttle stop and close it half way till you hit the track ! JK
just a thought, could maybe a heavier weight oil swamp it down enough for the inspection?

thanks Billy, I figured since this is in the Ford forum I wouldnt have to specify.
anyway, I figured out that I wont have to lose much power at all, maybe only like 10-15 hp. last time I weighed the car it was 3212 w/me. so 3212 divided by 9.5 is 338, thats 10 hp less than it made a couple of weeks ago. I think a paper air filter and 2 or 3 degrees less timing will be good.
I was planing on gutting my doors(door beams, glass, locks, etc.) and changing my door bars so they go all the way out to outer door skins. I think I will lose some lbs. there so I'll just have to wait, I might have to lose a few hp. more.
the rules state that I need a current dyno sheet from a commercial buisness within 60 days of a race.
now I need to get my ass out in the cold and put it back together cause there is a license test on Feb. 20
