Talking 2002 Ford Mustang

If anyone want to look up performance parts for stangs i suggest RED ZONE RACiNG company. The guy lives up in Lutz. He also does installed for very cheap. He installed my pulley and my tranny cooler for $25 and said would do my springs, shocks, and struts for $70. He has a wear house full of domestic parts. I highly recommend him. Ask for RANDY @ 230-1923

Well anyways,.. the current mods i have in my 6 is:
UD Pulley//Intake//raised my gas pedal

I have yet to install:
Flowmaster 40 mufflers//7.5 tlok//springs and shocks//transgo shift kit//

I have a couple of questions,..

1) What exhaust set up should i go w/ for my flowmaster 40s besides 2.25 stainless steel pipes and 3" tips? I wan't to know if i should go w/ an H-pipe or go w/ strait pipes.

2) Where in tampa can i get my transgo shift kit installed ?!?!

3) Should i get a mach 1 chin spoiler ?

Answers to your question:

1. H-pipe
2. No idea...I gave up on Mustang shops long ago, but someone here may be able to suggest someone.
3. The chin spoiler looks great, particularly if you lower the car a tad.

Welcome to TR.

Weak, but nice try anyway.

Anyway, welcome to the board.

1. Definately the H-pipe true dual conversion. If you look around hard enough, you might be able to source a X pipe or have someone fabricate one for you.

2. Any competent transmission shop should be able to do it for you, but I would ask FordMan who he reccomends. Every shift kit I have had installed by numerous Mustang shops has ended up turning the transmission back into kit form or breaking it in some way. There are knowledgable folks out there, I just didn't choose the proper ones and ended up going with a manual.

3. Pimp it, brotha. If you need some wheels to complete the look, hit me up. I have a nice set of mint Steeda Ultralights (SSR Intigrals with Steeda center caps) measuring 18x9 with decent Nitto 555's (285 35 zr 18) on them for a reasonable price. Definately drop it and look into suspension pieces as well. V6's can be very nimble and lethal at autocrosses if properly set up.

Hope that helps ya.

Can't help you much with modding out 6's but was just curious about this mod. Can you elaborate?

The gas pedal on the 94-up Mustangs is positioned significantly lower than the brake pedal. There is a mod on Mustangworld.com showing how you can easily raise the gas pedal. This aids in heal-toe driving, but I don't see its significance on an automatic.

Oh, OK, I was a little worried that it might be something that allowed you to have more pedal travle therefore more gofast. The heel/toe thing I can see, although all of my racing only requires toe and I don't fully comprehend the terms braking and racing in the same sentence. But that's just a preference kind of thing.
