Screw some belt driven compressor...TDC makes (or is going to make) a single turbo kit for the V6. Turbo is where its at.

But for the cheap mods you can't beat true dual exhaust, some sort of intake/filter, and gears. Don't forget the pro-5.0 shifter either.

99+ v8 swap. Keep the v6 vin #s and enjoy all the power at no extra monthly cost to you.

Are there any legalities to worry about when doing this?

Is TDC still in business? I would not send them your money. Your much better off going with a pro turbo kit.

But since you want to spend around 1k, like everyone has said, gears/exhuast/intake/pullies/nitrous.

Your insurance company won't pay up if you wreck your car and get caught with a v8 instead of a v6.

Why? Import guys do engine swaps all the time and that isn't a concern. Of course, you're usually talking about a 4cyl->4cyl swap, and that's a little less obvious to insurance people.

ya, technically what they do isn't abiding by their insurance company's policy, but what insurance rep could tell the difference?
