I was going 6.90s on a stock block,crank, rods and pistons.In a 3000 pound car thats about 450 to the wheels.I did that for about a year.But I bent a rod in 2 motors at that power level.But that power is on the nitrous,so its not under that much stress.If I didnt drag the car at the track it would live alot longer[no starting line hit on slicks].so I guess it all depends on how you use the motor.

Alot plays into what a stock block can Handle.. Power adder(if one is used) RPM range to name a few. I put down over 550rwhp and 600RWTQ on a totaly stock block, crank and rods, (Other than bolts) and no girdle. But I do think a turbo is alot easier on the motor than the other power adders because I make all my power under 5600 rpm and do not have to spin it high to get power.
