Update on the car

Went out to Plant City yesterday and spent 2 hours ripping up and down the lonely roads tuning the car with my friend Allen. We inched the boost up to 17ish and lemme tell you, that thing hauls ass. As soon as boost comes in in 2nd gear, the car kinda fades around all over the road and spins right up to the limiter.
I need to make a big decision here about what direction I want to go. I need more tire, that is clear. I have 17x8 GT wheels that I can run a decent radial or drag radial on, and I think this would work becaue I don't have instant traction issues, only from a roll. My other option is to throw a set of Weld's on it.
I'm inclining more towards the 17's because I don't want the whole cowl hood and welds look with this car.
On the way home though, the car overheated and blew a headgasket and is now sitting on a trialer until next week when I feel like pulling it apart.
I don't think it was the tuning that did it (I was driving home on I75 cruising in vacuum when it happened). I think the rubber plug on my water pump for the heater core let go and I lost all the coolant (didn't see any steam though). Not sure if that was the cause or the effect of what happened, but either way by the time rush hour traffic let me get it off the side of the interstate, it was rattling at 1500rpms and the motor sounded different (louder under the hood) so I know the headgaskets gone, just gotta see if the head is cracked.
Chalk it up to racing though.

The 17s I think for the wheel choice. If you could swing it a set of the Bullit wheels would look nice. Sorry to hear about the head gasket though.
