Much demand for this alternator relocation?
After screwing with the AC system on my 94 GT, I decided to just take the whole thing off. I figure it will lighten the car and clean up the engine bay. I also decided that once the AC compressor is off, it will give me a place to relocate the alternator. That is going to solve some other problems. The turbo really heats up the alternator, and the intake pipe is crammed in there too. The space the altenator is in can be used to re-route the intake, helping cool the charge a little. I don't see much problem welding up a braket to hold the alternator in place. In fact, with that done and the battery relocated, it looks like a twin turbo install would be simplified.
Anyway, anyone think there would be much demand for a relocation bracket like that? I guess I don't see many guys removing the AC down here, but if it simplified a twin setup, I imagine a few might be presuaded.
