Default Crane ignition systems

anyone seen the Fireball ignition? It is in like every ford mag you see, anyone have one? are they any good?
Lets compare that and say.... MSD and or the MSD 6AL.
If anyone knows which is better or if it just plain sucks chime in.

They all work fine, only reason why i got one maily was for better rev limiter and try and get a little better gas mileage.
sounds good,I didn't know it had a two step app.Are two steps workable with a 5 speed? I thought they were only automatic setup. And Its much cheaper by far, looks like I may head that way, plus its got 100 rpm increments

I've always had alot of success with the MSD 6al in the 3 Musangs I have had it in. The Crane system just seems to be overly complicated for the lack of results it produces. For the level of power you are at, I would go with longtube headers instead of the MSD. They helped my 89 GT out alot when it was @ the same level of modification yours is at right now.

I have unequal shorties now, im not planning on changing them cuase then I gotta change the h pipe also and I am content with my exhaust for now.I am working on the heads part of the deal right at the moment, just thinkin later on when I get my heads and shit done that a nice ignition is a must....

Honestly, don't spend your money on that ignition just yet. Do other things first as the stock ignition will handle many more mods just fine. I only put my MSD 6al on my 89 GT (when it was at your level of mods) because I was spraying the hell out of it. Seriously, do suspension mods or longtubes first...you will actually notice a gain for where you are at right now. The lowend torque gain the longtubes provides on a stock motor is quite impressive.

As they say: been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

Long tubes will get you about 20 horse... I doubt you have hooking problems now.... I'd make some power! Or just spray it, lol!

I'd go with the spray if I had money around to fix whatever I'd end up breaking, go with the spray if u aint skeerd ... I wouldn't bother with longtubes myself with how your exhaust flows as of now, maybe just get rid of those tailpipes with some dumps.
