I got the assembly manual friday (haven't ordered a kit yet, but wanted to read through it and see how involved it really is.
Most of it is definitely doable by me. The EFI harness is certainly intimidating. Plus, SCCA AP class has a nice little 10% weight penalty for FI cars....
Has me thinking though...
What would a 2200lb car run in the 1/4 with say 300 rwhp?
You should just look at the painless wiring harness since it would have all the extra un-needed hook ups

If you get the FF carb kit, they include a painless harness. If you are doing EFI, you get to play with an EFI harness from the donor (or spend extra money on the painless harness and reinvent the wheel.)

The EFI harness isn't anything to be concerned about. Other than motor sensors, its got a few power, ground, fuel pump wires. Thats it. I suppose if you start with a stock motor, to get to 300hp you'll be buying parts either way. But I'd rather do FI so I can drive it anywhere with reliability and economy.
