*shakes head*
And to think that if my motor displaced even 5.0L, I would be @ 453.12 whp. I wonder if a 1.6L 4cyl can be overbored that much. Hmmmm. I imagine I would be pretty fast then with my low weight of 1900 lbs.
Just because our little motors don't produce mega high hp and torque numbers does not mean they are not high performance. As a "for instance," look at RC car motors. I have a OS 21 (about the size of a small fist) producing 2.6hp with a redline somewhere north of 60,000 rpm. Is that a low performing motor just because of its size? I think not, especially considering it only has 5-10lbs to push around and has AWD (in my RS4 hybrid anyway).
I get 145.4 fwhp out of my measly 1.6 that redlines @ 8000 rpm (stock cams/valvetrain). My particular vehicle weighs in @ 1900 lbs +/-. I don't need 400 hp to get my car moving, thank you.
But whatever, I'm glad that everyone does not have the same tastes. The world would be boring without ignorance and variety.
