Yes Powerheads and Thumpers heads are very compareable. I believe Powerheads exhaust flows alittle more and Thumpers heads intake flows a little more. After everything, pricing is also compareable.

You could go with the AFR 165, good head to start with, good streetable head that you can grow with. But like I said, talk to Joe.. He used his GT40p Heads in FFW Street Warrior trim, mid 11s on them. Another racer went 10.9x on them, they have potiential but are very streetable.

you can go a long way on a stock head. The key is compression, and someone who knbows how to port a stock head.Rob at ford speed did my heads a few years ago and I love them.If your on a budget and dont want to go faster than a high 10 with a little spray than a stock head is for you.Ive keep the stock heads on my car and I have no plans on changing them.Sure I could go a little faster with a set of alum. heads but the sneekiness of a stock head is alot more fun.I go 6.90s in the 8th with a 125 shot, with a aod.The power ports are a good deal fust have them shaved somemore.
