Well, I just installed an electric fan in my 93 so I'll tell you what I did.
I went to Discount/Advance auto parts and paid $20 for an electric fan controller. Its got a dial and is adjustable from like 32-250 degrees so its pretty flexible. Instead of wiring straight to the fan this way, I used the fan controller to turn on a standard Bosch accessory relay. I wired the controller to a key on source (I used windshield wipers) so this is how it works:
When the key is in the run position, and the temp of the controller is reached, the controller closes the circuit on the bosch relay that powers the fan. You can wire the controller straight to the battery if you want (this way the fan will still run even when the motor is shut off), but I didn't really want to have to worry about draining the battery since this car will be driven regularly.
Oh, if you buy the fan controller, it comes with some chicken shit wire, but don't use it to run current to the fan. The fan draws a pretty high current and that wire got very hot. I used 10 gauge instead and its fine.

i was lazy and wired it up with a toggle switch. i dont reccomend it though. if you have a brain fart and forget, it would suck. i want to do it the way force fed 23 did it. just have to get around to it.

Well when I installed mine into my car, I hooked the fan into my accessory wire. It just seems much more logical to me. With toggle switches you have to worry about forgetting to turn it on. Make sure you put a fuse (30amp) on your accessory connection. Because it is running all the time when your car is on. BTW, mine is held to my radiator with 5 zip ties, it works like a charm.
