Default 2.0 Zetec

As of earlier I was posting what can be done with this. Appreciate everyone whom posted links or knowledge about what cans. Seems like its predetermined to be a grocery getter. I searched zx2 forums and sites everywhere and the avg it can shit out with bolt ons and some engine tweaking is a whopping 170-180hp. Anyone know if forced induction is made for this car? I checked in with jackson, the have a s/c for the zx3 but not the zx2.

The 2.0 Zetec in the ZX2 is the same motor that's in the ZX3, check www.boosthead.com too. An RS turbo manifold from a euro escort will bolt on as well. www.zxtuner.com or www.teamzx2.com is a good place to start looking up info on them.

You have to realize that a ZX2 weighing in at around 24-2500 lbs w/ 180hp at the wheels will move. Me putting down 130hp and 130tq at the wheels in mine I was running a 15.08 on street tires. Thats not impressive really but it shows the potential.

Forced induction wise, Turbo Tom is working on a Kit as of now. Check the Forced Induction section on Teamzx2.com. Anytime you want to drive a ZX2 w/ just headwork let me know it can be arranged. We have a couple locally, one I built and one someone else built that are in the 170-180hp range at the wheels N/A. You'd be surprised.

Check out Teamzx2.com and if you want get ahold of me. I'd be more than happy to give you a scoot around in a Z and shoot the shit, whatever.

welp, i have a rather highly moded zx2. head, cams, 70mm maf, i/e/h and the list goes on for days. that 170hp should put you in the high 13s with no problems. the car is VERY light, and has good gearing in it. the guy that posted above me (2kzx2) and i are very good friends and we're usually breaking something on my car on the weekends. so if you ever wanna go for a ride... let one of us know
