Factory Five built the coupe chassis around a smallblock ford. So it will fit. Big blocks and mod motors won't.

I have a friend that plays around with stock bottom end 5.0"s.The one in his daily driver is cast everything bottom end with windsor d 303 heads poted a tad also an f or x cam.This was a carb 650 btw runs with a 5 sp in an 85 stang 8.4's at sunshine with me in the car lossing traction a lil.Btw his car has ponie rims for the turns the thing has a great rpm rang in turns.ps ask goop about him his son has the 88 shrt block 140thou mile motor in his race car without the nos he ran 7.04 i think not to bad out of a stock 302 lemme know if you are intrested about some of his set ups

Note the engine placement in relation to the suspension. Eight Webers ought to be easy to tune!



Nice looking car. Always wanted to do something like this.



Look around. Factory 5 makes the most user friendly kit, but there are plenty of others out there. Make sure you do a LOT of research before committing to a project like this. The guy with the Everett Morrison kit took about 5 years to finish his. It was beautiful, but 5 years of time is a killer investment.

I'm more concerned right now with determining if I will fit . I'm actually trying to locate somebody in the Southeast who has one built and wouldn't mind letting me 'try it on'....
