I don't know how much your "sticky tires and shit" cost but a decent helmet is going to be around $300 and will last longer than those sticky tires.

Do you plan on being involved in this "racing" stuff for a while? If so, then make the investment and be done with it.

well I got a helmet now, but I bought 300 in nitto's and I cant afford a 300 dollar helmet at the moment and I can participate with a borrowed helmet, but not tires.
So I bought the tires to be able to race.

 

try ogracing.com ... and get a decent one - if you have decent head - me I have a gorgeous face and an incredible brain so I opted for a SA 2000 helmet with face protection. I can't stand to hear beautiful women cry.

 

i have a black HJC helmet forsale if anyone intrested - size large. i got it for 160 - i'm asking 120 for it - been wore like 3 times cause the girl got scared of motorcycle.

 

i love helmets...especially the motorcycle looking ones...ive got an open face one and it looks dumb..but hey, itll save my head...just not my face (like i have much to lose ) ive got another around here somewhere but no idea, id have to go diggin for it...if i find it you can have it for 50.
