so it's 1:30 in the morning, im babysitting my cop neighbor's kid, and my alarm starts going off. I run outside and sure enough it's my car :o

driver's side ok, passenger door is f**ked. they tried to use a prybar above the side mirror, chipping the window in 2 places and taking a chunk out of the drip moulding.

when that didnt work, they tried above the handle putting the prybar between the window and the door skin. it worked, but not until it broke the seal between the door skin and shell, and creased the hell out of the moulding that runs along the base of the window

then after they got the damn door open and the alarm started going off, they ran. didnt take the radio, the amps, the subs...nothing!! come on, if you're gonna f**k up my car, at least take the radio so i can get a newer model.

Seriously, if you cant get away with it, at least hang out and take your ass kicking like the ass-kicking-deserving scum you are.

ok, now it's 4:30 and the police just finished dusting all the prints (yeah, this guy's toast) and "they'll call me". it's time for bed.

i'll let you guys know what the outcome is with the new insurance company (that i just f**king changed to) and the body shop

 

Shitty man, I feel your pain. I cought 2 ass fuckers (on seperate occasions) trying to boost my old non-running 88 CRX. Since I am a light sleeper, I heard the first one, snuck up behind him with my .45 and cocked it. He ran alot fast. The second one I heard also. Unfortunately, he heard me running/jumping down the stairs and I could not catch him. I was only armed with a baseball bat on that one. He managed to fubar my lock and door handle though. What idiots. The car had no radio, no battery, bad breaks and possibly a spun bearing. Additionally, I had taken the shift linkage out completely, so I have no idea what those morons were after. On both occasions, the Lemon Drop was sitting right next to it. You may take a gander at that car in the FS area as Dan is selling it. Stupid friggin kids.

 

Damn that sux Dave. Hope you find out who did it.

I had it happen to me once before I moved to FL in downtown Indianapolis several years ago with my 95. I was in class and came out late at night (night class) and there was some fucker trying to use a coat hanger to get into my car. He took off running and jumped in a car. I tried to catch up but couldn't. I did get the plate # and the guy got picked up about 10 minutes later. He already had a couple of warrants out for his arrest.

I've not had anything happen here. My neighborhood seems pretty quiet - but you never know if somebody sees a nice car outside.

I'm a light sleeper so I'd think I'd hear it.....I'd jump in the car and chase the fuckers though.

 

Damn that sucks man. One time i was leaving my olllld work and i was walking up to my 87 caprice and i noticed the break lights flicker so i started running, the guy must have heard or saw me coming because he jumped up and ran, had the getaway car ready to go and he got away. He punched a nice rectangular hole in the side of the steering column and broke the ignition. He also left the cigar he was smoking on the floor.

Instead of getting it fixed like a "normal" person would, i stoped by pep boys and bought a new flat head screw driver and a toggle switch to hook up my igntion to.

That's right, all you need to steal the caprice is a flathead screwdriver, ill leave the doors open for ya, come on over.
