My friend is looking to buy this Ford Explorer and is there anything I need to look for when checking it out? k Thx

Make sure the old firestones were replaced would probably be a good spot to start ... check for the typical noises and leaks.

See how good the tranny shift, if it slips in between gears, check for lifter/valve tick. Make sure the suspension is tight and not too much body roll.

make sure the front end is OEm(ie stickers, in proper location) and if the A/C hasnt been replaces, it is about to go, depend on the year. besides that enjoy it. Get some rims on it, the stockers blow chunks

btw used to own one (93) thats why i know some of the specific things, trust me, it will save you in the long run
