Question about porting.
I'm going to get my heads ported as well as a more agressive cam etc. The question is there's this stupid "Split Port Induction" controller in my intake and I want to find a way to tweak it. Basically the concept is at low speed you have a smaller opening for higher velocity and higher torque. At higher speeds after a 6 second delay the Secondary port opens up giving more than twice the airflow for the top end horsepower. So maybe port the valves that open themselves out? Or the other option was to just take the valves off and let the controller think it's opening. The problem with that is that I would most likely lose a good chunk of low end torque for a gain in midrange. Any opinions on this little dillemma?

I could throw on a switch that opens them up at WOT or something instantly. Or maybe when I get a tach get one with a light and have it kick in when the shift like kicks on. So even with a ported head just keep the SPI valves the same size?
