ford rotors...
On an escort, is there a trick to getting the rotors off? one of them is rusted on and is soaking in PB now, but the other was pretty loose.... Is there something other than a little rust holding it on? the assembly screws are gone, and it wiggles freely, but wont move more than 1/4" from the base of the hub. thanks!

1. remove clips
2. BFH
Alot of the times, if you do not plan on reusing the rotors, just nail it with a BFmetalH. They require it at times.
To prevent the headache from happening again, I brushed the rust off of the hub area with a wire brush and gave it an uber thin coat of wheel bearing grease. Be careful here, too much grease will sling up onto the pads/rotors and make it very difficult to stop.
Hope that helps you in time.

yup, iy was a ring of rust. we let it sit with pb all over it multiple times, then leonard went at it with a metal hammer for a little bit, and they came off... COATED in salty rust. now, for the calipers... replacing them, theyre so rusted over, and I dont want to push those rusty pistons back.
