Default Aem?

I know forcefed 23 has mentioned he is looking into it, but does anyone around here have one yet?

What kind of price is it going for?

Will it datalog a wideband o2 other than the AEM brand?

I was tinkering with the idea of possibly giving it or the Accel Gen 7 a try on the Cobra. Or just going the simple route of getting the Inter ACQ for the PMS that I already have.

Decisions. Decisions.

Do you own a Torch Red FRC and tremble every time you drive under I75 on Hwy 60 and look in your rearview mirror? If so you are suffering from what is known as Cobraphobia.

Steve, let me know what you decide. My buddy with the '98 Cobra is going through the same dilemma. He took the car to Ramseys to get them to tune it and burn a chip and they couldn't get the car to run right. He's running 50# injectors and could probably stand to go up in size but then he would have to buy the harness that lets you run high impedance injectors with the stock computer. Instead of buying that piece he's just going to go the DFI route. Anyway, he's leaning towards the FAST system and going to Joe and Robby to get them to tune it initially so he can learn how to use it.

Chris, we got him a price for the part number he gave us, but haven't had a chance to talk to him yet.

Currently they only make them for the 87-93 and 94-95 Mustangs. Prices are around $2000 for the computer, $500 for the single wide-band O2, and $700 for the dual wide-band O2.

You can find out more info on the computer by going to www.AEMPower.com.

Yeah, I just talked to him yesterday Joe. He's trying to figure out if he can sell his D1-SC head unit to offset some of the cost. He's also waiting on Procharger to finish up making their cog setup for his car. Once he does that he should be making some serious power. He's having MAJOR belt slippage issues, as most people do with Prochargers and ribbed belt setups.

Wow, there must be big markups on these as I have already been quoted anywhere from $1375 to $1800 and now $2000:o

Honestly, for a little over $2000 I would have an accel Gen 7 with wide band AND a custom Dan White racing harness so that I can use my existing wiring.

I may just end up getting the Inter Acq for $300 since my car is just a toy for me and I am not trying to squeeze every last drop of power out of it.

The main reason I personally wouldn't go with the FAST is that I am always gonna have A/C and the last time I checked the Fast system doesn't support that. The Accel and AEM do. Probably something small to some but big to me as it will always be a street car.

Then that won't work for Don either because he is keeping his A/C.

I was just posting the prices that AEM had on their web site. When I talked to them today, I never asked what we would be able to get them for.

I haven't seen the new Accel Gen 7 yet so I can't comment on that, but when the Speed Pro first came out, it blew the first generation Accel out of the water. Much easier to tune with, especially if you were running NOS.

You can still run A/C with the FAST computer, you would just have to do a little wiring to have it shut off under WOT conditions, but the Gen 7 with the Dan White harness sounds pretty slick.

Why wait for ProCharger? There are companies out there like ASP that will make the pullies for you.

I was just going by what Don has told me. Apparently the avenues he has looked into so far wouldn't allow him to keep all his acessories which he really wants to do. I'll have to tell him to give ASP a call and see what they can do for him.
