Default The Too F-in hot to be working inside a shop thread

Just post up how hot your workplaces are.

My workshop is sitting at a nice and cool 98 right now. Cooling down from the peak 104 earlier today. Man a tree would be nice. Those shade tree mechanics have it good!

I can be working on a 2,200 degree kiln at times that is a couple hundred feet long .. with double layers of clothing on, in the sun, hardhat, steel toed water proof boots, yadda yadda.. heavy industrial.. yea.. I think I have one of the hottest and dustiest work environments of people on here. Not to mention our coating oil tanks and sulfuric acid, phos acid plants that are fun to be around.. Only place that I have been which is hotter, would be the Teco Power Plant.

I'm an Industrial Electrician and Instrumentation Technician. I deal with 69KV all the way down to 4-20mA control circuits. I haven't gotten into Automation too much.. I would rather have my hands on work with installation and calibrating than programming. I was thinking about getting into a Nuclear facility.. but I like where I am.. I have a couple radioactive material handling certifications on the side. I am one of few people in our plant who can handle our radioactive materials. Those engineering jobs that kids strive for just seems boring to me =)

Our shop where my desk is,, that's a cool 73 degrees
