I have my dart 331 listed for sale right now but im not getting a lot of interest. I think i might just end up using it. I currently have an sq trim Vortech that's almost new. Id really like to do an incon kit but i just want the manifolds and Ill build the rest from there....problem is, I can't find any right now.

So I'm thinking of selling the vortech and going na for the moment but I don't know what to ask for it either.

I guess i could install it with the Vortech too... Just don't know. If i could find the icon stuff, i could save the cost of buying exhaust that I'll just need to sell later.

What do you guys think? What should i ask for the vortech stuff?

 

Any particular reason for Icon stuff? I'm partial to turbo stuff myself. Look at the stainless hardware Rob Wells builds (Ford Speed) and compare. Many companies have surpassed Icon years ago. Kooks builds nice stuff also.

 

Power and efficiency wise, I agree.

No one has been able to match the oem like installation and semi hidden appearance though. I really like that the downpipes are located exactly where a shorty header would be located - allowing any mid pipe to be used. Just an awesome fit. I don't know of any twin setup that makes it easy to keep all of your accessories.

And then there's that I've always wanted to try that setup

 

yep the hard part is finding the turbos for the Incons. do a search its not a regular flange. you will also have to notch your frame to install one of the hotsides. passenger side I think. when you buy the complete kit it comes with the steel plates to reinforce what you notch out.

 

Actually, the flange is normal Garrett. It impossible to find the right specs for the chra though. I think I can get pretty close...close enough.

Replacement CHRA's are not as big of a deal as they once were depending on which kit you had/have.

Plug changes really suck.
Uber high back pressure.
Plug wires tend to get cooked.
Super heavy.
The push rod kits will never make big power.
No replacement parts.
