Just dug up some old pics of my 84 GT and friends 88. I miss that car. Loved the headlight louvers...

 

I had a black '84 GT. No A/C, roll up windows and T-tops. I loved that car. It's my "I should have never sold it" car for sure.

Trying to resurrect the feeling with a black '84 convertible. 4.6 cobra motor, coil over suspension and a 5-speed. Hope to have it done by the years end, then I'll drive it until the wheels fall off.

 

I like 4 eyed cars a lot to I currently drive a 85 2.3L auto coupe slowest thing I've ever been but its on greg welds so it looks fast lol it'll be getting a 5.0 in a couple months if all goes well and I'm also in the process of purchasing a 86 GT 5.0 5 speed to drive around while I'm doing my swap and it might turn into a project afterwards

 

Cool cars. He needed these Cragar louvers for the hatch.

 

85 - 86 GT's are my absolute favorite. I want an 86 GT T-top car as a daily driver. The 85's still had the 7.5 rear. The 86 was the first year for the 8.8. 86 also had smaller brakes and flat top pistons which makes cam choices limited. But all in all,.. I'd probably do a 331 or 408 with a TKO or T56.

I've had several 4 eyed cars.
I had an 83 that I swapped a 1967 390 2 barrel motor and C6 into it. Direct swap junkyard motor with the 2 barrel it ran 12's on street tires. I dont have any pics of that. I had a 79 with the inline 6, an 82 GT, and 5 different 86 GT's. Greg (StangitMan) bought one of the 86 GT rollers from me.

I still got my 4 eye, Hoping to get busy back on this in the near future..I got a billion parts for it, still planing to run the 460/C6..Won't be the fastest car at the track but atleast I'll drive mine there and back...
