Frank generously offered his time to come check out this engine I am putting together and the issues I have been having. I have been going around in circles and getting 10 different opinions from everyone I talked to. I was overlooking something that he pointed it that allowed me to keep the entire combo I am using!!!! I was degreeing the cam properly, finding TDC and everything else. BUT when I was checking PTV clearance I was using a solid lifter and cranking it down 3/4 turn before even turning the engine over (pushing the valve into the piston before I even turned it over). Once he pointed this out and showed me the correct way to do it, I was golden with my clearances. I am right at .081-.082 with a compressed gasket. I am so freaking happy right now!!!. Thanks again Frank!!!

 

The way you were saying, sounded like alot have been cut off the head. But with the 59cc chambers and the valves not being an issue, you should be good to go.

As soon as its back from paint I will be!!! I am going in for back surgery in 4-6 weeks, so I will get as much done as possible until then. Frank also took the heads and measured the cc (to be 100% sure) and they came out 59.2!!

 

Who me, I don't know nothin..... I am just a good bull shitter.... Just glad it's going to work out for ya.....
