Default anyone know someone with a dark blue 2010 GT???

Has the license plate "GT 4PT6L"

if you do, tell them they are a ricer for me.

I drive a 240 (nothing special at all, stock wheels, shitty paint, and just a few bolt ons), and I passed this guy going north on Dale Mabry at about 3:00 today. Didn't do a fly by, I was in 5th probably at about 2k RPMs. Then, I look in my rearview mirror, and sure as shit, here he comes, and flys by me, slows down next to me, then takes off again. I stayed behind him all the way to Land o Lakes, and during my time back there, I saw two attempts at a burnout (one wheel peel) and multiple mini vans raced. It wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't on this site, especially in this section, because of how much of a goon he was.

Anyway, thanks for reading, please pass on the message if you happen to know this person

Sounds like one of 'TheStangGang' guys.
Are you sure is wasnt a 2011?

And you cant be a ricer driving a Mustang. He can be an idiot,.. but ricer is reserved for Asian imports only. Not European or American 4 and 6 bangers,.. just Asian imports. If you knew the history of the term you would understand this. It was the ricers that coined the term 'riced out' to include domestics. But in the truest sense of the term,.. no.

Hmm so a debate about what is a ricer? Correct, the name ricer was derived originally from the Japanese car scene. However, I think its more of the driver than the car itself. True, most ricers drive Hondas and what not, but what about the ones who actually have money? Rich Ricers are the worst. They drive whatever they want, and drive like an idiot 95% of the time.

This guy was a ricer to the fullest. Flashy, show-off, cutting people off, racing everything that was next to him, burn outs at stop lights, revving to the moon for no reason, etc. Call me the ricer for driving a 40 like a civilized human being, I don't care. I can't afford driving as much as I do with a V8.

I actually used to own a Mustang. No disrespect intended in this thread, I just wanted A.)to know if anybody knows the guy and B.) let him know that driving like an idiot doesn't make him cool, it makes him dumb.

If he bothered you that much.... why didn't you do something at the time? Why wait until you get behind a computer?

why assume he's a goon because he's on this site, probably won't earn you much love.

He actually just sounds like a moron, not a ricer.

I think he was saying that the person in question was probably not on this site.

The term ricer goes back to 83/84 when the Honda CBR 700, 850 and 1000 Intercepters came out and then later the Yamaha FJ750 and FJ1100. The original term we used was 'Rice Rocket', because it was like saddling up on a rocket and they were from 'Hong Ching Chong' Japan. Then later as kids who either couldnt afford or who's parents wouldnt allow them to own a domestic V8 started tricking out their imports,.. with Japanese being the most popular and actually developing a following. We just called them Ricers. Anyone who drove an ASIAN import,.. that included the 280z/300z, Celica/Supra, and everything in between was labeled a ricer back in the 80's. It had nothing to do with 'how' they drove. We ALL drove like idiots. The term ricer reflected WHAT you drove,.. not how you drove or what you had done to your poor car. Someone driving a VW Scirroco or Rabbit was never called a ricer. Not back when I was younger. Ditto for the Pinto, Chevette, Capri or Vega,.. which all had small 4 cylinders in them.

Rich ricer vs poor ricer? Listen to yourself. Think about this for a moment if you can. And try to rationalize and reflect on it. Rice comes from the orient. Correct? Well mainly,.. lets not get into technical tangents here. Why on earth would someone look at a domestic vehicle and say,.. "Oh man,.. thats riced out" Or "He drives like a ricer"? The term was NEVER created that way. I turned 16 in 1983. I first heard the term "Rice Rocket" used in 1984 and it was targeted at the Japanese motorcycles because they were so much faster than anything else on 2 wheels. Then around 87/88 I first heard the term "Ricer" used towards a guy driving an Izuzu Imark turbo that wanted to race a friends Lemans because it only had a Pontiac 326 in it. He still lost,.. we teased him to no end and one guy said get that 'rice' out of here. And from there on out was how I associated the
term 'rice'.

It wasnt until I moved here to Fla in 99 that I first heard the term 'Riced out' and used in a derogatory way towards a Camaro SS because he had a ground effects kit on the car. I had to actually ask why they were calling it riced out and the kid looked at me stupidly like I was stoned or drunk.

I personally think the younger generation mistook the older guys calling guys who drove imports 'Ricer' because they drove like an idiot and/or had all the fairings, chrome fender flares, giant formula 1 wings. I believe the younger generation took that and adapted it to cover any car including domestics. And now,.. as you are using it to describe a person. You guys make things so complicated sometimes. It really was much simpler years ago.
