Default I'm officially fordless

I got rid of the 2.3T mustang last year (it went to a friend of mine, so I still get the privilege of working on it). I've still be rocking the 98 V6 as a daily driver. My wife went to take it to work today and she comes in and says the car makes a funny noise when its running, it sounds like the belt is flopping around. So I tell her to take my truck and I'll look into the car. After I wake up, I go out expecting to see a shredded belt, instead I see a HUGE pool of oil under the car, and big chunks of oil pan on the ground.

The car has had leaky intake gaskets for years, but its a slow leak so I just keep an eye on the water level. I guess yesterday the gasket finally let loose and filled the cylinder with water over night and my wife tried to compress the water when she tried to start it up. We all know how well water compresses.

So does anyone need any parts from a 98 V6 auto white with brown interior? Its going to the scrap yard soon. Parts will be free if you pull them off.

Brown cloth. The front seats will be going to my brother in law for his car, and Pat may be getting the rest, but if he doesn't need the interior I'll let you know.

Oh, I need the brown leather fronts. My back seat is fine. (unfortunatly, it's too small to really "wear it out" ) I don't really need anything else though. Thanks anyway.

Uncle pat....oh well.

Being Ford-less is the most inexpensive & pain-free living I've had in years!

Nissan's in my driveway these days

Damn Dave...I didn't know you sold the 2.3t too. Never thought I'd see the day without a Ford in your household. Guess I could say the same about what is now sitting in my driveway. Things certainly do change. We need to go riding sometime.
