What do you do for a living?
Hey everyone. Just like the title says.
What do YOU do for a living?
Is it what you always wanted to do? Are you still
looking to do what you love to do? Are you happy?
Is your job stable? Do you guys do side jobs to make
a little here and there? How do you guys get through
each day?
I am very curious since im still pretty young(19) and
wanted to ask the community.
Thanks for sharing guys

I own a Real Estate Business. I specialize in the sale of Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Distressed and Short Sale Properties. I also am well versed with First Time Home Buyers all the way to Seasoned Investors. I have listings that range from $10k homes to $6.4million dollars tracts of land with minable Phosphate.
It's not what I always thought I would do - but I'm damn good at it, and make a decent living doing it. I enjoy making my own schedule, being my own boss, and having an infinite amount of earning potential annually.
I do side work to supplement my income. I write articles for an online column, called The Examiner (see signature) & I also perform BPO (broker price opinions) which are basically an appraisal for Foreclosing Banks. These two side items could keep me busy year-round if I let them.

That seems like a very cool laid back job! Sounds interesting! What are your tasks/responsibilities?
I am no baller and only have my high school diploma, no college here.
I ended up getting a job at the mines starting off doing physical labor and eventually becoming an operator which paid okay for my situation but there was not a ton of security there and I'd seen alot of older guys have health problems there.Just over ten years later, I got a job with the Telephone company and I like my job. Like I said, it's by no means baller status but pays pretty good considering and the benifits/retirement are good too. I just hope I can keep it. One of the big bosses came by last week and announced the company will be cutting 13,000 jobs country wide. My boss said the other day, that Florida's portion would be 1 in 4 people. I really don't see that happening. I'm not sure if my 5 years of seniority will be enough. We'll see.
Yea its kinda a laid back job. But when we have the owner or guest on it you have to stay real busy. My task are just keeping it clean, keeping the maintenance up on it, like oil changes Just odds and ends. Than when were underway i do engine room checks, making sure everythings working the way it should. Take over the wheel. Theres alot of stuff you have to know and alot of responsibilities. Dont get me wrong, theres alot of headaches. But its all just job security.

Pharma Manufacturing here. Its not what I love to do, but I do like my job. With my seniority, I am pretty stable, and the fact that it pays so well, keeps my happy, and not to mention overtime. So, if i needed extra cash, I just come in to work overtime, 1 night of OT puts many beans in my pocket.
