Default cam advise

My current cam specs are lift .480 duration 224/284

I want to install a better cam. what would be the best cam for a side in and ride up grade. would I need to change lifter,rod, or anything else I can't think of.

F cam lift.512 dur 226/288
X cam lift.542 dur 224/286
z cam lift.552 dur 226/290

Do you have stock pistons? If you do, you can not run any of those cams... maybe the F cam with 1.6 ratio RR's. You'd need to check PTV clearance because some people have it work, others have problems.

With an E cam you'd have no issues.

The F will clear..... The TFS stage 1 is a nice option too.....

I have forged pistons. dont know if they are flat top or not. what do you think the horsepower increase would be between the cams.TFS stae 1,F and X cams. this is on a carbed 302.moroso roller rockers and forged pistons. thats all I know about the motor.
