Correct. Religion and intelligence generally vary inversely. Back then, by today's standards, people were of low intelligence. They had less of a reason to not believe because science hadn't debunked large parts of religious claims yet. So they were Godfearing people. But even THEY recognized seperation of Church and State. George Washington himself said that this is not a Christian nation.

 

Just a few thoughts of my own...

Republicans have money, the Democrats want that money and have no sense of ownership to support good stewardship and... the world's bad money is trying to change America --- away from its fundamental goodness with spineless puppets such as our current Emperor. Hence the fact ... one man does not do all the bad.

Over two hundred years with global leadership and compassion toward others and now we are the bad guys with too much ownership/wealth --- and expected to give that to the lazy asses who will take it.

Feudalism and the Crusades date back to 1096 --- Christians fighting the Muslim for the Holy Land. The Church wanted to be the big owner too, back then. This battle has finally hit our soil in a bad way. The enemy has infiltrated, as they threatened to many moons ago, and I feel most elected leaders today are too spineless to restore this Great Land to its global supremacy --- gutless wimps!

The freedoms we today enjoy, were then starting to erode/disappear ... good people sought change, as evidenced by their leaving the other hemisphere's battles and ideals behind to come to America... for change.

We have it good here --- they still want it. Protect it or lose it!

1) Islam is NOT a "religion of peace" as they would have you believe.
2) The Christian crusades were a RESPONSE by Christians of that time (generally speaking. There were some rogue idiots then just like now) to the rapid Muslim taking of lands and property. George Washington was an interesting and in my opinion, brilliant man, for his time. He was religious, that is for sure. He advocated judeo-christian values and worshipping God. BUT for every speech you can find about him telling us how we should act with respect to God, you can find another of him telling the country how they should not require or even infer that we are SUPPOSSED to. Good sense like that is something we should see more of today.

 

Perot may have bailed . Wouldnt you ? If you offer help to someone at no charge but they dont really want it whats the point ? Democrats and republicans arent nothing but crips and bloods in suits . The whole problem with politics is the politicians. Like BAMF said , most of the stuff being pinned on Obama isnt his fault . Since when does the president call all the shots ? He never has before. You guys did go to social studies right? Youre making it sound like he says " this is what its gonna be " and so it is .

 

He didn't pull out because nobody appreciated his offer to work for free. Ostensibly, he bailed because of threats to him and his family. Would I have bailed? No. If I were running for President, I would expect some threats to be thrown my direction and would be prepared to deal with it. Personally, I'm glad Perot bailed out. If he didn't have the balls to stay in the race, he would not have had the balls to do what was required by the Office.

That's the only positive thing I can say about Obama. With as many crazy, green tooth having rednecks as there are in Alabama and Georgia and the rest of Redneckdom, he's got big hairy balls. He sucks as President, but he's got big hairy balls.

He's the leader of his party and his party has the majority in Congress. He's promoting all this bullshit legislation and he will sign the bullshit laws that Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Shumer and those of that ilk will crank out so yeah, it IS his fault. Of course, the idiots that voted for him will have to share some of the blame.

The sad part is, the bullshit falling out of Washington has just started to fall on our plates. There are a whole lot more bites we are going to have to take out of this shit pie before it's over.
