My wife is a fraud detective. You would not believe the amount of counterfeit $5's and $10's that get passed around Pasco county on a daily basis. They are trying to catch them,.. the FBI wont come investigate until they start passing out $20's or up.

(counterfit equipment)Yeah the $5 and $10 man is who my wife is looking for here in Pasco. I wonder if your buddy is the same guy? Better not let her get a hold of him. She's got him on video at several gas stations, kmarts and walmarts. Just havent put a name to the face yet. She wants to get his face entered into the data base for those face recognition cameras in Ybor and at Raymond James. That way if he goes to a ball game she gets notified and they go on a man hunt.
I'd be too nervous to pass even a fake $5 knowing the odds are slim to get caught. When I did the $50 bill if you examined it closely you could tell it wasnt real. But at first glance and to the casual observer it would probably pass for the real thing. My wife thought it was real at first. Then I explained how I did it and she said thats exactly how the counterfeiters are doing it. That if I ever got caught with it that I would more then likely be in a lot more trouble then a box of those $50's would be worth. I wanted to keep it in my drawer and she threw a fit and made me burn it. Waste of a dollar. I took pics of it so I could brag and she made me delete them too.
Hell those counterfeit AMP coupons were working all over the place. I got about 12 of the 4 paks for free before my wife made me stop. And then the next night you guys showed the link that explained it was a scam. I was like oops. But considering how easy it was,.. I bet you could spend a lot of $5's and $10's before you ever got caught.

I worked at taco bell a few years ago, and one of the cashiers took a few fake fives. We had to call the police, they came and took the bills and said they were going to turn them over to the FBI. At first glance the fives looked pretty good, but if you took a second one, youd know they were fake. These werent even printed on a 1 dollar bill, they were on a whole different paper. And they were a lot lighter than all the rest of the money. But, they felt like real money.
