Title of thread should be. "If I only had 60k"

I respect an owner who make the GTO look brand spanking new and all, but IMO it looks like they let someone with severe alcohol poisoning paint the exterior and interior...

I'd take that GN any day.

Thats the way they came. They are worth more in original colors at an auction when it becomes a frame off restoration,.. you must adhere to the build codes. Even though the process is the same,.. it is no longer a frame off restoration if you change anything that was factory,.. if you do then it becomes a 'Restomod' and is worth less money. Those putrid green colors were extremely popular in the 60's and 70's. There were some ugly 67 Corvette Stingrays running around. Fathom green, Emerald Frost Green, Evenwood green, Sonic Green, You name it,.. they had it.

I had a Ram Air 3 70 GTO with the tach on the hood, red with a white interior when I was 18. I traded a 69 SS 396 Chevelle for the car. Mine wasnt a convertible. That car has some discrepancies though. The Judge cars had a 'Judge' graphic on the back where that one has a GTO graphic. The 68 - 70 GTO's had a diecast GTO emblem. That particular graphic is from the 71/72 GTO's. The hood is a ram air hood but its missing the vacuum slats and its missing the 'ram air' air filter. Also,.. RAIII cars had manual chokes. I used to pull mine in half way when I was pulling into a hang out because it made the engine run rich and sounded like I had a lopey cam.

Something must be wrong with the GN.....either a zillion miles or its a rebuilt title. Car should bring mo money. Trunk carpet and headliner and I'd ask 12K for it

Buddy of mine up north recently sold his for $8500. Had some rust starting to show. Ran good but was starting to nickel and dime him to death and he had no intention of restoring the car so he sold it. There are some deals still to be found.

TommyNOS on N2S bought a Typhoon for $2500 a few months back. The transfer case was fubar and was converted to 2wd mode instead of AWD. That was the only problem,.. but ran like a raped ape,.. he recently sold it for $12k and fixed nothing,.. just gave it a tune up.
