Do like I do. Get a decent used one. Run the crap out of it and then start all over again with another decent on used one. Rinse, lather, repeat. The depreciation and maintenance on a new model is untenable and totally counterproductive.

Sheeut, the woman is 44. Might be getting close to tradin time. She's starting to make bad whining noises (loud and continuous). The paint's still good but got a lot of highway miles.

I don't know. That's how I got into this situation in the first place. I don't know if if you could handle the stress and the complicated maintenance. For instance. I got a good ride out of the vehicle in question this weekend, but in order to get it started, I had to install an new HD TV. At first thought, you wouldn't think the two are related...but they are...somehow.

Not only that, there is this hot little sports model that I built myself from scratch. I never drove it. It just didn't seem right. Besides, it was just for show. I sent it to Gainesville to get programmed and tuned and I think some of the mechanics there were driving it around and stressing the suspension etc. Anywho I ended up leasing it to a guy in Chicago that just had to have it. Well, he's decided to buy it now so I have to go up there next month to sign all the papers and get my 2 ponies, 20 beaver pelts and 10 blankets. That's great for me but the poor guy already has had to get not one but 2 expensive paint jobs for it just for the title transfer ceremony. Seems it was either that or the thing wouldn't start for him ever again. Sometimes I think it's better to walk...or I do have those 2 ponies coming in the deal. Hmmmmmm

I have a nice little sports model myself.....more like a HP 4x4 though. Not ready to let it go though. Still kinda new, so I think I may have to keep it around the house for a little while. At least until it's completed to my specs. I need to have it tuned also. Mine likes to run rough some days, and I fully think about selling it that day....but then I come to my senses and keep it around. No new paint jobs for it though. It looks better w/o and will probably run better also. Sometimes, it runs almost like it has a mind of it's own. LOL

 

Well, hang in there. That's all there is to do at this stage. It will get rough sometimes BUTT...whatever you do, don't give up and buy a Prius. You'll never be able to sit down again.
