I don't trust it. It's from Z-hills. ALMOST every car I've seen from Z-hills/Dade City area, that was supposed to be "restored" was a POS. (Note I said "almost". There have been one...MAYBE two that were decently done) I've seen how the people who live in those towns take care of their cars. No way would I pay $1000 for an 86 either. Especially if it's not running. I might pay $500 for it, maybe, Slap a Maaco paint job on it, and replace the "starter" (It's probably the flex plate or something else more serious) and re-sell it for $1500. maybe. Just my .02

Probably just needs a carb and the starter will be fine.

Looks just like my first mustang. I had an 86 that was the same faded black. Mine had a little more rust brown accents though.

I think that was the first of the EFI but whadda I know. I'm all gefugled up in the '85 I'm working on. It was originally a 2.3 feedback carb setup...that's a carb with a little bit of help from a computer, then some of that crap got chopped out and a 351 carbed setup with a C-6 was put in. Now I'm trying to swap in an '88 2.3 turbo coupe engine with a T-5 and make it run with a Merkur engine harness tied into the butchered '85 dash and chassis harness all running off a T-Bird computer with a mass air swap from the original VAM setup.

And since I don't speak wiring diagrams at all, this should be a piece of cake, right? I'm thinking I'll probably blow out the powergrid at the Crystal River Nuke when I first hit the key. I'll try to give you fair warning when to take cover.
