Business owners...
As you know i started my own site and im gonna fully upgrade for greater bandwidth and such so we can have unlimited members and get it cracking so we dont have to deal with "mustang golf balls" and shit like that.
Im opening up the lines here and wanting to know feelings on this propisition... Me and Cbaldwin been tossing the idea back and forth of putting business banners on the site as an advertisement. Now i know alot of diff sites charge crazy like to put business banners up and im thinking if i could get $3.00 from each company a month to fly the banner, would it be something you guys would be interested in doing?

I was gonna do month by month, Just in case one month, one business, cant do it. Josh, email me a banner.

You could also do something like $.10 a visit to the site. Every time someone downloads the image for the banner it gets tracked and by downloads I mean every time they visit the site. It downloads all the images to that persons temporary internet files. So, for every visitor to your site you would get $.10 jeff. That could add up very quickly. Obviously you could charge friends less or not at all for advertising but for things like the mustangtuning.com and summit.com ads and stuff, that might be the way to go.

Well i really dont wanna charge my peeps to go to my site, .10 or not, i just dont like it. I can really see you're point about adding up though. I figure, i can pull, relatively, 5 business's just off of TR and for 3 bucks a month, how can you beat it... It will keep the site fresh and bring business to their companies.

I have a friend back in Lakeland that rents out server space and sells ad space on websites. Basically the people that buy adspace on your site would pay you .10 a visitor to your page because statistically, quite a bit of those people will click on the banner and see what that company offers.
Charging your visitors .10 each time would be the quickest way to end your project.
