Cash for Clunkers bill passed today
It's got a lot of "doubletalk" in it. I mean, it SAYS it's meant to replace "older vehicles"....Then it says that even a brandy new vehicle would qualify. WTF?
How much are we paying congressmen nowadays? And they STILL can't write up something that the general public can A) understand and B) make sense and C) not be a bunch of doubletalking BS.

A lot of times they like to pass shit that looks like something good at the surface but ends up with the politician having some hidden agenda or something. They like to put small changes in bigger bills so you have to pass both and whatnot. The whole system is just a big fucking game and it pisses me off.
I was actually talking to my GF kelly the other night about this after wathing Bill Maher's "Religulous" which is extremely funny. The interviews with politicians are a must see. Anyways, I said limit pay to public officials to somewhere around 70k/year or so, that way, we dont get politicians in there looking to get rich and only people who want to make a difference will even bother. 70k I think is more than enough to support yourself and a family as long as you live within your means and this would solve a lot of problems with our country. I think its bullshit that politicians are living more lavish lives than the majority of anyone else in this country.

This is the exact same BS that they have in California, basically they make it a PITA to continue to maintain your older car, forcing you to buy soemthing newer, or brand new. They do yearly inspections and whatever. The problem is not everyone can afford a new car so once again, the middle class working slob gets a good reaming.
The key is to find a marginally collectable "old clunker" let the government destroy the rest and the value of your car skyrockets, that's why people are paying over 170K for old Z28 Camaros and Mustangs these days, it's totally retarded, but it looks good on paper.
