It is PFM.

I rebuilt a few back in the day.

You spend some time with them and like everything else, "some" of the PFM you learn how to do!

Here is where I'm at so far. His replies are colored,..

And yet your carb still sits there unsold.
Perhaps people are not as dumb as you think.

SIR I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK, WHY DON'T YOU GET BACK IN YOUR PLAYPEN. I HAVE HACK UP A LOT OF CARBS FOR CUSTOMERS AND THE ARE QUITE HAPPY WITH THE PERFORMANCE, PEOPLE SAID THE SAME THING TO THE WRIGHT BROS. SO IF YOU WOULD PLEASE KEEP YOUR INSULTS TO YOUR SELF AND STOP SENDING ME YOUR STUPID E-MAILS, FRED P

Um,.
Not for nothing. But someone who cant even type and spell correctly in an email does not have much credability with me.
If your english is not so good then you may have an excuse,.. but some how I doubt that is the case.
I build my own carbs and would never push something like this as a functional carb.

Your words,..
"DOES THIS CARB LOOKED HACK UP"

The correct format should be:
"Does this carb look hacked up"

Your previous emails are no better. Scroll down and re-read them. You should use a spell check and proof
read your emails before you send them,.. you may come across as a little more professional instead of
coming across as an immigrant redneck.

My answer,..
Yes,.. it does. The electric portion of the choke is there,.. yet the rods that went to the choke plate are now gone.
As is the choke plate itself. You've hacked up and converted a vacume secondary carb. Your advertising it as having
an electric choke,.. when clearly there is no functional choke there. There is a reason the Avenger series carbs sell
as cheaply as they do. You can proclaim some secret mystery in your 50 yrs of what ever it is you do,.. yet your website
says nothing about carbs. I would never pay good money for something when the person selling it can not be honest
about it.

IN 30 YEARS YOU HAVE NOT LEARNED MUCH, DOES THIS CARB LOOKED HACK UP, IT RUNS VERY GOOD ADDING ABOUT 25 HP, SEND ME A CARB AND I TEACH YOU A FEW THINGS. I SELL A LOT OF REBUILT CARBS, WHAT DO THINK WE DID TO CARBS BEFORE THE DOMINATO CAME OUT. FRED

I dont know who your trying to fool. I've got 30 yrs in this 'hobby' and ripping people off by hacking up 4160 single feed vacuum secondary carbs
to pass off as modified DP carbs should be a crime. You can not choke a carb with out a choke plate. You can save that 50 yrs story for
some poor kid who might believe you. Fact is,.. if you want to sell something you need to describe it honestly,.. not spout off some mystery
story in an effort to make yourself sound plausible. If I'm paying for something I'd like to know what the hell it is.
In all honety,.. you sound like a trailer trash whack job trying to pass off some junk. You'll be lucky to get $50 for that.
A 4150 650 cfm DP carb with a manual choke and 'real' mechanical seconaries out of the box will offer more performance then that thing.

Not sure if this is a joke or if your serious.

How does an electric choke function with the choke horn and choke blade missing?
I have to know.

Thats the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
What exactly does the electic choke do now that the horn and blade are missing?

And you do this for a living?

That and how do you make a 670 cfm carb out of a 4150 650 cfm carb?

I was sent this link on our local internet car club forum. Its getting passed around to others as well.
Everyone is laughing.

Sincerely,.

Jim Carter

Hahaha... good stuff hurst. I am curious, how does a carb "add" 25 hp? Sounds like this guy belongs to the "more NOS stickers the more horsepower" school of thought.

You can pick up 25 HP with carb modifcations. Thats very plausible. How ever,.. 25hp over what? A stock Avenger carb? Thats not saying a whole lot. 25hp over a DP or HP carb,. then he might have an argument.

The carb he used to modifiy is the bargan basement of Holley carbs.

Its like taking the stock intake, TB and fuel rails from a 5.0,.. modifying it with 36lb injectors,. porting it out and telling the world you have the greatest thing since the Wright Brother airplane. Better than a Vic 5.0 intake,.. better than a Trick Flow or Holley Systemax intake.

You understand now? Its just not possible. Your still stuck with certain limitations when you use the stock parts.

No, I know that. You can make an engine run more efficiently with carb modifications. That frees up horsepower that you would have been making the whole time had you made the mods before. That being said, you cant "add" horsepower to anything. Kind of like the kids that get imports are see a magazine ad that says "put this exhaust on your car and add 15hp and then get this intake that says it makes 25 more hp." So the kids buy both of those parts are start figuring how much power they make. So I have a honda that makes 80hp and I bought exhaust and intake that together makes another 40 hp so I now have 100. It just doesnt work that way. Thats really what I was getting at. Just a joke thats all.
