Same here. I had a Pontiac Grand Prix. It was NICE. Plenty of room in the back seat.
And decent power. The GN's had even more power, and the same sized back seat....AND got better mileage.
So....a much better car IMO. I would buy one today if I could find one for the right price.
That price is NOT the right price for me.

Oh ok I misinterpreted what you said. Yeah, GN's are hard to find for under 12k anywhere you go.
Thats a much better price than this one though.

Btw, whats the difference in the GN's and the GNX's?

They were the last of the rear wheel drive,.. full frame G body cars that GM put out. I preferred the looks of the Monte Carlo SS with T-tops. Bad brakes, extreme nose dives during braking, soft mushy suspensions compared to todays cars. My friends dad had a 87 GNX and another friend's mom had a 86 Monte SS. Had some fun with the Buick,.. top speed was 105mph when the computer cut you off. The Monte SS was so slow we got beat by a girl in a Toyota MR2.
84 - 87 Buick Gran National/GNX (3.8 V6 turbo 245 - 275 hp) Low 14's@98mph 1/4 mi ET
84 - 88 Chevy Monte Carlo SS and Aerocoupe (L69 190hp 305 V8' Low 16's@88mph 1/4 mi ET
84 - 87 Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst/442 (LG8 170hp 307 V8' High 16's@86 mph 1/4 mi ET
84 - 87 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2 and Aerocoupe (L69 190hp 305 V8' Low 16's@88 mph 1/4 ET
Even back then we knew the GN was going to have a cult following and was an instant classic. The GMC Sylcone and Typhoon are little known as well,.. but are hard to find at a decent price.
I'd take any of these cars today.
