So you started that thread for what reaon? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, you drove down, inspected, test drove and paid for the car willingly, obviously because you approved of the car. Am I remotely close? Was there ever a warranty expressed or implied? Here's a question to ask yourself... if this was purchased from a used car lot, what would they have done to hepl you? I'll tell you, nothing unless there was a warranty. Like I stated in the begining of this thread I would be of been embarrassed to of posted that thread.... basic car buying 101
Raymond is going way above and beyond that even a car dealer would have.

BTW I'm not responding because Ray is a personal friend, I think we have only traded parts 1 time, so be sure that is clear. He is always helping other enthusiest on this site. Numerous times other members have posted looking for a part and he tells them to come get it FREE. Good guy in my book

 

^ Yep...I needed a flex plate, and he told me to come pick one up. No charge. I went to his house...He wasn't home, and the flex plate wasn't there...But it was FREE....So I didn't bitch. I told him about the problem, he apologized and said the kids down the road must have stolen it from where he put it. (It was NOT hidden) He also told me to come back down as he had another. I told him I would pass and just pick up a new one. Which I did. Am I holding a grudge? No....Am I posting a whole new thread? Nope...Why? Because it doesn't warrant it. Now, I bought a crew cab dually once....I got it for like $2000. I test drove it, and it sounded fine....So I payed the cash...However, as soon as I got it down to the corner store, it started knocking like a bitch. I drove it RIGHT back and told the lady I needed my money back, or I needed at least $400 back so I could put new bearings in the motor. She was decent and obliged. (After calling her dad) I went to the corner store because I wasn't sure if the truck would MAKE it home....I checked the oil again, and it was LOW! So I put in 3 qts of oil and guess what? The knock went away...I went back and gave her the $400 back. She told me to keep it for my trouble. Not everyone is nice like that....Raymond has gone above and beyond IMO. If it were me, I might do what he has also....but most likely I would have done less. And after you started a thread about it....I would have cut off all communication. Period.

My Brother-in-law tried saying I sold him a POS once...He wanted to fight over it, so I handed him his ass. I told him what I had done and told him that if he took it to a mechanic and they said that anything less had been done, I would not only pay for the repairs, but I would also buy refund 1/2 his money. He took it to the mechanic (I think just to try to spite me) and the mechanic said that there were MORE things replaced than what I mentioned. The thing that went bad was one of the (few) things that I had not replaced. Always the weakest link.

.008 huh? Do you even know how small that is? I've seen WAY worse....Hell, I've BOUGHT worse. When buying used parts, you have to factor that possibility into the purchase price.

 

Well now the shit hits the fan. I get this notice from the corral that I have been baned until 4.20. Ok dope smokers that is fine. They said I was starting a riot. Yea right. They keep assholes like Nothardey stay on. I know it is becsause he is gay and bends over for the mods. Like they think they are so smart. Duh I have more accounts then they have any idea. But fuck it I wll bide my time and make them think they are all that. I stated to go on there and tell them what I tought. Anyway. The mods that got on my post are assholes. But if you notice most of the older ones did not. Night Guys

 

LOL Yeah...Funny you called them "dope smokers". Thats the reason why I got banned before. I took offense to some of them being dope heads and alcoholics with their drinking and driving and thinking it was "OK" to do it. Whatever...Their site sucks anyway.

 

just let it go! if you did what was right for the original buyer and you guys are cool, then let it drop and go away. too much hassle over nothing.

 

Yea I am done with it. I finally woke up and see that they have nothing better to do than sit on the computer, hide behind it and act like they are all that is woman. No wait my bad all that is man.
