I know a guy that uses Serpentine Belts and bolts in the heads

/\would just use the lift plate for a hand hold

Personally use bolts in ends on each head.
On a related note. Re-torque your intake if you use plate.

lift plates are fine.Been doing it for years.The bolts have to be tight and you won't have a problem.I've done it with big blocks and never had a problem.
