Prayers needed for one of our own...
Please guys, take a moment to say a silent prayer hoping and wishing for a speedy recovery and healthy future for Brett (aka OldMan). He's currently in the hospital, battling to keep his heart rate normal (was 206), and is possibly dealing with a pretty serious staff-infection called MRSA (medically resistant staff).
Here's a passage from his wife's Facebook this morning:
If any of you have personally met, personally known, or dealt with Brett - you know that he is truly one-of-a-kind, and would give you the shirt off of his back in return for your happiness and friendship.
And now it's our turn to give him something back! Please pray for our friend!
Here's a passage from his wife's Facebook this morning:
Saturday night around 4 am I had to take Brett to the er because he was having chest pain (right side) and he was having trouble breathing. Thankfully, there was no body in the er and they took him right away. His heart rate was 206 and his blood pressure was also really high. They stabalized him, but it took almost all of the day on Sunday to get that done. They have done lots and lots and lots of tests and are still not entirely sure what the problem is. However, the doctors think that the problem might be that Brett has MRSA a very strong staff infection that has made it into his lungs. That is how they're treating him right now, that and a lot of pain meds. His heart CT scan came back completely clear, praise the LORD! So that's one major answer to prayer. The preliminary cultures on what they believe to be the infection should start to come back today, but they won't be done for a few days. Pray that the cultures will get done sooner rather than later so that they can start some kind of treatment. He's pretty loopy. He's in the CSU (a type of icu) at Bayonet Point and will be there for at least 3 more days. Thank you all for your prayers. I'll try to keep this as updated as possible.
