my gf said the same thing tommy. im for him. i hope he can turns this country around, it may not be on its feet in 4 years wen he is up for office again. but i think he will do a damn good job.

I personally don't think any republican or democrat can truly "change" our country, except for the worse. They are beholden to their party's "agenda" or they won't get voted in and then a possible second term. In other words, the best way to help America would probably cost them the suppport of their party and therefore their job!
The best thing Obama has going for him is the media loves him so they will build up the few good things that happen (such as the natural upswing of the business cycle that will and always has hit eventually) and will ignore the bad things that happen during his administration.
And don't worry, I don't think much of McCain either except for his military service, he's another rich guy like Obama trying to take your money, for god's sake obama spent over 260 million to be elected and over 151 million for the inauguration parade, if he truly wanted change they could have bought $50,000 homes for about 1600 families with that $$$, thats' helping the economy!!
