5th gear problem

5th gear problem
Just noticed this. it seems that i cannot shift from 2nd to 5th at 3500rpm plus, or sometimes 3rd to 5th. I tried 1st to fifth with the clutch in as well and still the same problem to see if it did the same thing. Each of these shifts make a grinding when trying to go into 5th kinda like you missed the gear, but will go in after the rpm's drop below 3000. Whn i tested first to fifth i was doing 5mph rolling with the clutch in and it did the same. do you uys know what this could be? my guess is a syncro but im hoping for something quite simpler. Any help is appreciater. oh yeah the car is a 2000 v6 stang with the t-5.
