f bodys? am i the only one with A fox?
Just look for the baddest F-body in Mafia and throw down on him. If you kick his ass, you get to claim victory over all of them by default. Easy! If, OTOH, you get your ass thumped, well that means you have to eat a little crow and suffer through all the jabs that the nutswinger F-bods will be throwing at you. But, hey, that's the price you pay if you're gonna go brand bashing.

Heh,.. you should have been around when I was younger.
When I was 15 - 19 there was mostly big block 60's and 70's cars out. A 302 would have been laughed at so bad you would have thought he came in trying to pimp his moms Volvo.
Back then there was STRICT brand loyalty. There were no in betweens. Even amongst the GM crowd,.. because back then Buick Olds Pontiac and Chevy all had their own motors. Not like today where they all have Chevy power. And despite what magazines and people want you to believe. That mighty 426 Hemi,.. wasnt all that. Typically on the street,. the 440 was the Mopar to watch out for,.. and the 67 - 68 Cuda was usually the quickest,.. although my friends older brother had a 383 Road Runner spraying a 200 shot and he was hard to beat,.. that car hooked like it was glued to the road.
Back then the biggest rivalry was the Camaro vs Mustang. There was an unwritten rule that if a Mustang and Camaro met at a light.. green meant floor it. The cops werent as bad back then like they are now either. Some used to come out on their off duty time and watch us.
Today there is so much inner breading in the race crowd I never know what the hell is going on. I usually just come to shoot the shit and hang out.

why cant thing's still be like that now? instead everyone has to see who is the bigger pecker head. i like just sitting and watching races, and looking at what stupid shish people are doing to there ricers now, and who prefers what car. i use to take my 2.3 mustang vert out to gandy but never really got any beef though. i would get alot of complements about how good of condition it was in and then i would sit there and watch some ideot come over the bridge and 5 minutes later the cops are pulling him over. im with hurst, there's to many stupid asses out there now but it doesnt mean it's not fun to watch. i'll see you guy's at the track sooner or later.

Its a lot different now. Back then a ricer was a guy on a jap bike and then later anyone who drove a Japanese car. Now,.. a Ricer is anyone who puts JC whitney parts on their car,.. and can include domestic cars. That totally blew me away. How the hell did it get switched like that? I think it started with someone who drove a Honda and decided to get rid of the term.
I'm not that old. I turned 16 in 83. I'm part of generation X. The in between generation,.. not quite old enough to a hippy from the 70's,.. but not quite young enough to be as tech savvy as the younger kids these days. I was fortunate enough to remember the classic muscle cars running the streets,.. owned 3 myself. 69 SS 396 Chevelle, 70 455 GTO and a 69 Mach 1 Mustang with a 428. They were not that expensive when I was 15 - 19 years old. You could find any of these cars for usually under $3000 in very good clean shape. Something that would easily sell for $30k - $60k today. My Chevelle I bought for $700 and bitched because it had 69k miles on it,.. I thought that for $1000 the mileage was too much,.. so I got the car for $700 and ragged the piss out of it. I went through a lot of $5 used tires back then. Usually G60's is what we ran. Burn em down to the cords,.. then go back for more. Gas was $.70 a gallon. $5 - $6 and you could cruise most of the night. You could get a really nice car for $1500 - $2500 back then. I paid $2800 for my 69 Mach1. Motor was tired and needed a refresh. But after was one hell of a screamer. With good tires I could break some high 12's. Was faster then my GTO or Chevelle. A 12 second car back then got pretty much the same respect a 10 second car gets today.
