1972 XR7 Cougar Convirtible

 

I had a 71 XR7 vert similar to that one but had a 460 in it. Was a fun car,.. but damn it could suck down some gas. I dont think it got better then 8 mpg.

Too new for me. I like the 67-8 cougars. (all of the cougars )

 

i just love the old muscle cars. my uncle had a 69 XR7 cougar, it was a gorgeous car.

 

Personally, I liked the Cougars that were wannabe Mustangs but not the ones that were wannabe T-Birds.

 

I actually just bought an 81 Z28 gasp camaro with t tops to restore.!!!
like the late 60's cougars myself, that bodystyle is a little too big.

 

For a race car yeah,. they pack a few pounds. But for a fun cruiser,.. man you cant beat em. Especially with 460. Very fun car and lots of room. I used to cruise around with 4 - 5 of us in the car all the time.
