Ummm...I already have one. Is this a newer model? Or have the headlights already begun to dim and aim toward the ground? Mine is a 1972 model with some junk in the trunk.

 

I had to get an 82 for my second, good year.

 

$30 Bucks and a kit-kat, and king size butterfinger.

 

I personally picked up an '84 model... Can't afford any rusty old "classic" models at this time - economic crisis and all

 

She's a classic '65 compact model. Headlights are a little dimmer than I recall them being a few years ago...but I try to keep them polished and the love bugs washed off. They didn't get polished yesterday though...and may not get polished tonight 'cause I'll be watching the game on TV.

that sucks dude.kinda of a lose lose situation for ya though. if ya went it would of been coool but ya would of gotten hell for it. and now ya cant go which sucks for you but she wont make ya sleep on the couch for how ever long now.

Dude, maybe you weren't washing the love bugs off enough or polishing it right? I would recomend re-polishing the headlights, and possibly try to jack up the rearend and check the undercarriage tonight while listening to the game on the TV. While doing this, mutter "DAMN! Wish I were there...that would be so fun!" If you are not ejected by the personal ejection seat, then you will know it is definatly time to trade up to the newer model. If it's a well kept model, I may know someone who will trade for a night or two, but thats about it. (not me) LMAO!
