yeah, we had 2 systems. In one you just created a thread. Sure it was simple but people put stuff where ever they felt like it, and the threads were a constant battle ground for retards messing with peoples forsale threads. We had the "classifieds" system but it was out of the way, didnt get used as much and had quite a few bugs.

This system kind of ties them together. It lets us keep the forsale forums, but instead of just creating a thread you create a listing in the classified system. It puts a link to the listing as a thread.

I know it's more complicated than a simple thread but anything we do to combat the issues with th current system is going ot be a little more complicated.

New system gives us easier to use categories, allows auctions, has a built in feeback system, lets you use paypal for payment if you like, lets YOU control who posts in your listing (including turning comments off entirely), supports uploading of pics and other small things.

I'm trialing it for a while, i know it's new and different but I think in the long run it will be better. If it;s not, we'll remove it.

Give it a chance before writing it off.

I have no problem trying something different, already threw a post up. I like the paypal feature, it's just so different than our good Ford Tech Fer Sale, will take a bit of adjustment.

only thing that costs is "Featured Ad".. that will put your ad on the main pages, plus sticky it in the category for how ever long.

posting is free, and will always remain free.

We may allow vendors to post in categories for a small fee, still thinking on that, right now no commercial posts.

I'm giving it a few days, and making some tweaks and see if it works..if not we'll go back to chaos and think of something else.

It wasnt BROKE,dont "fix" it. Why do you need to pussify everything to the lowest common denominator?
