Who is watching it tonight? I am and I think it's AWESOME! But I'm a kid at heart anyway, and I still remember the first one. This KIT is 10X better than the other one.

As previously reported, a promotional event for the new "Knight Rider" series took an odd turn Friday when a man ran out of the crowd at Toronto's Union Station, where the Mustang GT500KR was on display, jumped into the idling vehicle and roared off.

Now, the network behind the new show has revealed that the "theft" was actually part of a "unique viewer engagement promotion" giving fans a chance to win a new Ford Mustang.

"Last Friday, the final day of KITT's celebrity tour, crowds of Knight Rider enthusiasts were left stunned when a man ran out of the crowd, dove into KITT and screeched off," E! said in a statement Tuesday.

"Intense speculation spread across news outlets and viral communities promoted by links to YouTube with audience cell phone footage of the 'KITTnapping' action. And now E! is looking for help to find KITT."

The contest calls for participants to post where KITT has been spotted at eonline.com and watch E! for updated daily KITT sightings.

Fans have the chance to win a Mustang GT Coupe or a number of limited edition Mio Knight Rider GPS units.

"Knight Rider," a revival of the '80s series starring David Hasselhoff, premieres Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. on NBC and E!

Not really related but sort of. I get 3 stations that are in English. Knight Rider (the old series) is on many times each day. I never watched it back in the day but since it is in on and in my language I watch the hell out of it now. But I have a few questions.
1) Why is it that animals are attracted to KITT?
2) I am assuming that KITT is an acronym and what the heck does it mean?

On another note. I have been an active member on a turbo forum for years. Now I understand why the turbo geeks are the way they are and have a soft spot in their hearts for that show. TURBO BOOST! I did not know you could jump shit with a turbo. What sort of boost controller did KITT use????????? You would have thought that the secret tech would have filtered down by now.

Knight Industries Two Thousand

Animals are attracted to kitt because he/she/it talks, yet they see no human.

The secret turbo is a closely held secret of Knight industries and the Hoff. No-one will EVAR know the secret of how the old KITT could jump. Todays KITT does it completely different than the old one.

It was pretty good. Constant action, and still has some of the impossible tricks of the old one. LOL

Not like I will get to see it anytime soon.

So new KITT gets negative cool points compared to old KITT?

Could a person like SlowPoke lose cool points just by watching the new series?

The new one is 10x better than the old one IMO. More action, and a WAY better car that can change into a freaking TRUCK!
