Default Need Holley carb guru/help

Bought a used 650DP and per the last owner it has been sitting on a shelf for quite sometime b4 I bought it. Any reccomendations for rebuilding it?

I sure as heck ain't gonna do it. My luck, I'll turn the key and it will shoot fuel all over the place.

I did find a site (Pro System carbs) or something like that. for $390 they will go through it, rebuild it, wet test it and what not. Lots of money, but for peace of mind to have a professionally rebuilt carb it's a thought.

Let me know what they want to charge you. I always rebuild my own. In fact, I have to rebuild my 3310 next payday, since it sat for almost a year. Of course, it'll only cost me the price of the rebuild kit, some carb cleaner, and some time.

Meah...figures. $50 and you buy the kit? Tuning is up to you and your tuner though. I only guarantee that it'll get all new gaskets and shiz. The actual set up will have to be done by you or your tuner/mechanic. If you want me to pull it and re-install/set it, it's an extra $50. W/o a dyno, I can only make it run smooth by ear and feel.

P.s. which Holley do you have?

Best luck you'll have is to buy a BRAND NEW one. Once a Holley has sat Ive had nothing but bad luck even after being rebuilt. Ask Stang Stroker he has a 3 milk crates full of used Holley carbs.

dude they arent hard to clean and rebuild you just have to put every thing in order and be patient. CLEANING them is the most important part. I clean the carb on my race car atleast once a month if not more. Holley Performance Carburetors, Fuel Injection, and Fuel Pumps

Send it to Pro Systems. You give the guy there all the information on your engine. When you get it back, you will bolt it on and be done. They are that good.

I've been running the same Holley for the last 8 or 9 years with no problems after any rebuilds. The car actually performs like it shouldn't be able to.
