My Brodie Dawg is having surgery next Thursday. He has a few lumps that my old vet just blew off, saying they were "just old dog lumps" and I was never really thrilled with that. Donald noticed a new lump on Brodie Monday night, and this one feels different than the others, so I freaked out.

Long story short, we don't know still if the lumps are all benign or not, and we won't know until after the surgery and after the stuff gets sent out to pathology (unless it's obvious that they are all fatty tumors, which are benign).

Next Thursday is the big day. Brodie is our first born "son." You have no idea how attached we are to him. I make up songs to sing to him. Donald arm wrestles him. We need this damn dog.

So please keep us and the baby boy in your thoughts. I know some people think dogs are "just dogs" but damn it, some dogs are more human than others. This dog is so much more than "just a dog."

Our Jasmine was diagnosed with lymphoma over two years ago. She was given 10 months max to live.
